The cheapest places to go
Malaysia is the most affordable overall for Bangladeshi students. Tuition starts around $3,500 a year and daily life costs about what it does in Dhaka. Germany runs public tuition at close to zero, so you're really only budgeting to live. Italy keeps public tuition low and layers regional scholarships on top that can cover living costs. And a handful of other European countries offer affordable, English-taught degrees worth a look.
The US and Australia read as expensive on paper, but scholarships can make specific universities surprisingly cheap. Don't cross them off before you've checked the net cost.
How "study for free" actually works
"Free" usually means one of two things. Either free or near-free tuition plus affordable living, like a public university in Germany where you only cover your own costs. Or a big scholarship at an already-cheap university, like a 40% to 100% waiver in Malaysia, so what's left is small.
A genuine 100% ride covering tuition and living and everything else is rare and highly competitive. The reliable route is pairing a low-cost country with a scholarship you can actually win.
What really drives your bill
Tuition varies wildly and is often the smaller number in cheap countries. Living costs (rent, food, transport) are where cities part ways, and they usually decide your real total. Then there are one-offs: visa, flights, insurance, and for some countries a blocked account. A counsellor can put a true number on all of it instead of the tuition sticker that scares people off.
